ChipsAway RMJ Ltd. has operated as a ChipsAway franchise for three and a half years (Aug. 2006). Initially offering a mobile auto body repair service, when the opportunity arose to take over the Basingstoke area they decided to buy out the previous franchise owners and operate from a static site in Basingstoke.

The business has gained a good reputation for producing high quality auto body repairs with emphasis on customer care.

Whilst they do advertise in various media, most orders come through recommendation and referrals. People are welcome to visit the workshop to see the type of operation they run.

Marion Lee
Your first point of contact is likely to be Marion who heads up customer service and manages office administration. She may also be found preparing cars and vans for body repairs. Marion will assess the damage to your car, advise the best course of action and provide quotations. Often, indicative prices can be given by telephone. But really, a quick visit to the workshop will require only about 10 minutes to advise the best course of action.

John Towersey
John's expertise in auto body repairs is founded on his previous career as a mechanical engineer in the aircraft industry. John's speciality is paintless dent removal - a practice that requires a mechanical aptitude, dexterity, patience and a good eye for quality workmanship. All these attributes John demonstrates in his work. If there is an opportunity to remove a dent without having to paint then this would be the first course of action - a cheaper and faster method for repairing damage to your car or van bodywork.

Ron Lee
Paying fine attention to detail, Ron sets his standards high. His speciality is paint finishes. Remarkably, different colours need a particular paint spraying technique to ensure the new finish blends with the old. Ron prides himself on running an organised, clean and tidy workshop and this is reflected in his auto body repairs.
